Individuals who begin online counseling right away may have an entirely different experience. Most online counseling programs differ significantly from in-person treatment, which can appeal to a wide range of people.

BetterHelp aims to help people live happier, and healthier by offering them the skills and resources they need to face their problems and treat their mental health conditions.

Moreover, it is a better way to seek counseling, with approximately 30,000 certified professional counselors.

Price Comparison for therapies in Canada

In most cases, online counseling is less expensive than traditional therapy. The majority of services are built on a subscription model.

As a result, you may pay a few hundred dollars each month for it, but in-person counseling might cost over CAD50 to CAD240 per hour for a single 50-minute session. When you see a therapist in person, you’ll almost certainly be charged per session.

However, because most online therapists do not accept insurance, you will almost certainly have to pay out of cash. Nevertheless, it may be more cost-effective in other circumstances.

BetterHelp costs between CAD80 to CAD115 a week. It varies depending on how long you have had your membership. The weekly plan includes 1 live session via either video conference, live chats, phone calls, and messages for 30 minutes to 45 minutes.

On the other hand, their monthly plan costs between CAD307 to CAD409 a month on average. This monthly plan features 4 live sessions from 30 minutes to 45 minutes via video conferences, live chats, phone calls, or messages.

What is BetterHelp?

In 2013, Alon Matas established BetterHelp. The founder’s personal life challenges in finding professional counseling services that fit their schedule inspired the idea for BetterHelp.

BetterHelp typically connects you with a therapist within 48 hours after you sign up and your questionnaire has been examined.

Why Choose BetterHelp?

For a variety of reasons, BetterHelp is quite a popular online mental health provider. The amount of therapists available is one of the reasons for BetterHelp’s success.

Experienced Professionals

Licensed mental health specialists at BetterHelp are the same individuals you would encounter in person and are now available through online counseling services. However, how you receive treatment online differs from how you would receive it if you visited a therapist in person.

BetterHelp messaging is especially useful since it keeps track of your therapist’s conversations with you. As a result, you will not have to recall every detail of the therapist’s comments or the tools or strategies he or she offered you in a prior session.

Each and every chat room is completely private. Except for you and your counselor, no one else has access to the room or the conversation, not even other BetterHelp employees.

Accessibility

Mental illness has a stigma linked to it, whether we like it or not. We are frequently humiliated and embarrassed, and as a result, we are hesitant to seek treatment.

Teletherapy provides excellent seclusion and boldness for individuals who are uncomfortable talking to someone in person.

BetterHelp’s user interface includes tools for quickly modifying your service, such as changing therapists, amending your schedule, or canceling entirely.

Convenience and Affordability

Rather than waiting weeks for an appointment and then having to accept whatever the first available appointment is, BetterHelp virtual therapy allows you to choose times that are most convenient for you and attend from the comfort of your own home.

Furthermore, the cost is substantially cheaper since the therapists have less overhead, which allows them to pass those savings on to you.

Bottomline

With everything going on in the world, many of us are more stressed than ever. That is why, when face-to-face therapy sessions are not always possible, individuals rely on internet therapy and virtual counseling to obtain the treatment they need.

BetterHelp is not only less expensive, but it is also a more accessible and handy service that offers high-quality help from experienced therapists at any time and from any location. They offer a great range of therapists who can help individuals out with their mental health issues.

People are leaning more towards virtual therapy rather than opting out of private in-person counseling sessions.

Furthermore, because of BetterHelps subscription-based counseling services and solutions, it has made treatment even more inexpensive. It is a convenient option to obtain support for a mental health problem.

So my understanding, with the weekly plan, you get 30 – 45 minutes of a therapist time? Either through a live conference, live chats, phone calls or messages, but it can only total 30 – 45 minutes.

Monthly is 4 live conferences and everything else is unlimited?
